About Us
At Solidarity Jiu Jitsu, we firmly believe in the physical and mental benefits that BJJ training provides. And we also believe that those benefits are enhanced by creating an environment fueled by camaraderie and community. Our jiu jitsu classes provide a structured curriculum and focus on technique to help you grow. But you won’t be alone as you work your way through the challenges that BJJ presents. We are here to work and train as a unit, and support each other as such. Solidarity instructors aren’t interested in their own celebrity status. But they ARE interested in helping you become the best version of yourself and embrace the jiu jitsu lifestyle that they have all grown to love.
Owners
What do you get when you combine three black belts and over 50 years of collective Brazilian Jiu Jitsu experience, and a mission to do things differently?
You get Solidarity Jiu Jitsu.
Founded by a team of seasoned practitioners with roots in BJJ dating back to 2004, Solidarity Jiu Jitsu was built from the ground up with one clear goal: to create a training environment rooted in respect, inclusivity, and community—not ego.
Over the years, the founders have trained, competed, and taught across countless academies. And throughout that journey, one pattern became impossible to ignore: too many schools were centered around a single personality, often more focused on building one person’s brand than uplifting the team as a whole.
That’s where Solidarity is different.
Located in San Jose, California, Solidarity Jiu Jitsu is committed to offering world-class instruction in an environment where every student matters. Whether you're stepping on the mats for the first time or you're a seasoned competitor, you’ll be treated with the same respect, attention, and care.
With a wide range of experiences and teaching styles, the Solidarity team is united by one philosophy:
Jiu Jitsu for the greater good.
