Kids Jiu Jitsu in San Jose, CA
Kids Ages 5-7
If your child is excited to wear that “cool martial arts gear,” be sure to sign them up for Gi Jiu Jitsu! Unlike No-Gi BJJ, those practicing Gi BJJ wear a kimono, pants, and a belt denoting their skill level. But don’t be fooled – the clothes aren’t just for looks! In Gi Jiu Jitsu you can grab your opponent’s kimono during grappling. This style has a slower pace that allows for more time to think through each move.Contact Us
Kids Jiu Jitsu (Ages 5-7)
Teaches Hard Work
Don’t get us wrong, BJJ is a ton of fun…but it’s also hard work! We want our students to learn from a young age what it means to keep trying even when you get tired or can’t get the hang of a technique right away. There’s nothing more rewarding than setting a goal for yourself and finally accomplishing it! Whether it’s earning your orange belt, breaking a board, or learning a cool new technique, our team is here to get you there.
A confident kid is a happy kid. There’s nothing worse than watching your child struggle to make friends, speak out in class, or stand up against bullies. The earlier you can build up your child’s confidence, the better! BJJ has long been regarded as one of the best ways to improve self-esteem in people of all ages, but its benefits for children are undeniable. Kids in Jiu Jitsu will realize their own talent, be cheered on by their peers and instructors, learn to use their voice, and feel a newfound sense of accomplishment. Sign your child up today and watch them blossom!
Having a purpose in life isn’t just important for adults – it matters for kids too! Children may beg to sit in front of the TV all day, but this just won’t make them happy. Having a source of motivation is the recipe for success in kids’ lives. An activity like BJJ gets kids active, improves their mood, and helps them feel accomplished. Not to mention, Jiu Jitsu improves students’ performance in all aspects of their lives. The values they learn in our school will push them to do better in school, practice better behavior at home, treat others with greater respect, and set goals for themselves.
Makes Life Better
At Solidarity Jiu Jitsu, we’re not worried about winning awards or preparing your child for a black belt. Above all else, we care about our young students’ personal development and growth. We wouldn’t be teaching BJJ to children if we didn’t see firsthand the way it changes children’s lives for the better. Jiu Jitsu provides kids with a safe space where they can learn important life lessons, make healthy friendships, find mentorship in their instructors, and discover their passion for the martial arts early in life.
